No partner is required for any of our classes or dancing events! Social dancing is a great way to meet people and our teachers regularly rotate partners to give everyone the opportunity to dance with different people.
Can I bring a partner if I want to? Will I be forced to rotate partners?
In social dancing, everyone is encouraged to rotate partners to meet new people but you will not be forced to change partners if you don’t want to.
Do I need to have prior dance experience?
No, we welcome absolute beginners! In fact, every social dance is a beginner-level class unless otherwise noted. Just bring yourself and we’ll do the rest!
What should I wear to class? Do I need special shoes?
Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and allows you to move. No special shoes required.
I am interested but do not intend to compete, can I still join?
Yes! We do plenty of ballroom related social events and social dancing workshops.
